Poetry: The Dance

Dance Photo Shoot by Henna Lion

The Dance
by T. S. Bazelli

No hope to some
Positivity to cynicism
Doubt to resolve

My mouth to a smile
My feet to dance
My eyes to yours

But you do not notice

Laughter to tears
Tears to anger
And back around again

Summer to Fall
Night to day
Minutes to hours

All things have movement

Why don’t you?

PS For the curious, a micro interview with yours truly is up at the Innsmouth Free Press website.

  1. I usually don’t “get” most poetry, haha, but I felt I could relate to your poem! The cyclical rhythm, the last lines…those were my favorites parts. 🙂
